Creating Gmail App Passwords


On May 30, 2022 Google disabled Access for Less Secure Devices, making it no longer possible to sign in to Google applications using only a Username and Password.  Google now requires authentication via OAuth2 or a Google generated App Password.  Download the NewsBoss Tech Note below to learn how to create an App Password and, once created, how to enter the Google generated App Password into NewsBoss to continue receiving Gmail accounts directly into your NewsBoss system.

 

This change only affects Gmail users.  It does not impact customers ingesting email from Microsoft Outlook 365, Hotmail, Yahoo or other email providers.
